What do I need to get my email?
There are two ways to get to your email. The most popular is to use an email program such as Outlook or Outlook Express. The alternative is to go to the website http://mail.BluffsOnline.com and login with your email address and password.
 
When setting up Outlook or Outlook Express, what is the name of the mail server?
The email server is "mail.bluffsonline.com". It is the answer to both questions "What is your POP3 server name?" and "What is your SMTP server name?".
 
When setting up Outlook and Outlook Express, what is my account name?
Your account name is your full email address. My account name is Bill@BluffsOnline.com.
 
What other Outlook/Outlook Express options should I set?
To send outgoing email, you must selected the option that says, "my outgoing server requires authentication." Otherwise sending will fail. If you're having trouble sending but receiving just fine, check this options.
 
I am using Cox high speed at home and having trouble sending messages. What should I do?
The firewall on Cox residential service prevents you from using any outgoing server except their own. The remedy is simple. Change the name of your SMTP/outgoing server to "SMTP.central.cox.net". This should take care of the problem.
 
How can I reduce the amount of SPAM I receive?
Login to your email through the web page http://mail.bluffsonline.com and look over the SPAM filtering options.
