Adding Email

Due to the various types of email processes  being used (Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail) it is difficult to give specific detail on how to add an email account.

Whichever email you use you will need the following information if you have a Bluffsonline email account.

  • Your account is your full email address.
  • You pop3 servers inbound is mail.bluffsonline.com
  • Outbound is same unless on cox then it is smtp.central.cox.net. Some other internet providers require you to use their mail servers as outbound as well. If you want mail.BluffsOnline.com to be  your outgoing mail server change the outgoing port to 587
  • If you use mail.bluffsonline.com as outbound server you must set the flag My server requires Authentication.
  • Go into advanced on servers and set flag to only leave email on server for 30 days. If you do not it will eventually fill up and stop your email.

  • Email Protocol: IMAP
  • Incoming mail server: mail.bluffsonline.com
  • Port number: 143
  • User Name: USE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS (not just the name part)
  • Password: USE THE PASSWORD YOU’VE BEEN ASSIGNED
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.bluffsonline.com
  • Port number: 587
  • User Name: USE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS (not just the name part)
  • Password: USE THE PASSWORD YOU’VE BEEN ASSIGNED
